Dear fellow members, friends, and families,

Re: Donation for two Memorial Benches at Queen Elizabeth Park

The World Lebanese Cultural Union – BC Council, charitable # 82537 1149.RR that has under its umbrella The Lebanese Canadian Society of BC, The Canadian Lebanese Association- Victoria, and The Youth Chapter is privileged to start a project to honour and commemorate two members of our community, the late Mr. Chawki Rashed (Vancouver), Past President of LCS of BC, and late Mr. Najib Asfar (Victoria), Honorary President of the WLCU – BC Council, who for years had contributed to its growth and success.

Queen Elisabeth Park, that host the Lebanese memorial, is an excellent location for these benches and will complement  the Lebanese Cedar tree.

This project cannot be completed without your generous donation and cannot be achieved unless the members of our society and the Lebanese community collectively donate to reach our target which is $10,000. The monies collected will help install the benches, engrave on it the names of the members, as well as the name of our society, maintain them for ten years, and host an event to that effect.

Please make all donations payable to the WLCU-BC Council and mail to the following address:
